Why we love it: Three years before the Beatles stuttered, "Georgia's always on my my my my my my my mind," on "Back in the USSR," the Who made your ears prick up while they labored through their awkward yet mellifluous lyrics.
The experts say: "Sometimes musicians just think that's what the music calls for," says Williams. "In 'My Generation,' there was a sense of rebellion, a way to make the song stand out."
