“The music must go on,” they sang in the title song. OK, but did it have to sound like a dejected Doobie Brothers? Bogged down by squishy harmonies and wan hooks, their second Arista disc was their most blatant attempt to go pop. No wonder they broke up—for the second time—a year later.
