There are times when Jason Mraz seems utterly possessed by melody, so overwhelmed by the flow of notes that he resorts to nonsense syllables, leaving his songs full of so many da-diddlies you’d think he cowrote them with Ned Flanders. It’s endearingly goofy — not that his lyrics are weak, as there’s plenty of wit in the wry, rap-inflected “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry),” from his 2002 debut, Waiting for My Rocket to Come. Slightly more than half of that album is reprised on this 14-song CD/DVD. The wildly enthusiastic Milwaukee audience sounds just as sold on the new stuff, though, thanks to the backing band’s jazzy proficiency (augmented for two songs by Blues Traveler’s John Popper) and Mraz’s own exuberant charm.
