Help! isn’t about story or character arcs — it’s about four spectacularly famous young men acting like silly schoolboys while traipsing the globe and singing some of the most indelible songs ever recorded (“Ticket to Ride,” “You’re Going to Lose That Girl”). This two-disc reissue includes a half-hour making-of documentary that offers insight into the, um, inspiration behind this comedy’s Three Stooges–style goofiness. Recalls director Richard Lester: “An awful lot of pot smoking was being done.”
