Ballad of an Easy Rider

Their most distracted album: Bob Dylan’s contribution to the title track was five lines scrawled on a napkin, and drummer Gene Parsons (no relation to Gram) and new bassist John York sing their own half-formed songs. Still, the gospel cover “Jesus Is Just Alright” and the faithless Dylan song “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” are sad and stirring, anthems for a peace-and-love battle they knew was just about lost. Out of print.
