Her third eponymous album (this one has an Andy Warhol cover) was her most synthesizer-dominated yet, and its plastic twinkle dates it, although Keith Richards and Ron Wood turn up to give her cover of “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” a little grit. The George Michael duet “I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)” was her first pop No. 1 since “Respect” and final Top 20 pop hit to date. From her liner notes: “Many thanks to myself for being disciplined and growing as a producer.” Out of print.
