Dark Side of the Moon's follow-up seemed to offer even more of an out-of-body listening experience when sampled through the "cans." Its central theme, "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" (inspired by Syd Barrett), is spun out into nine parts, teased by chiming guitar figures and ambient keyboards. Elsewhere, Waters bitches beautifully, biting the hand that feeds him on the anti-music biz "Have a Cigar."
