Kid Rock Arrested for Assault
Robert Ritchie, a.k.a. Kid Rock, was arrested Wednesday after a 3 A.M. altercation outside a strip club near downtown Nashville, Tennessee. He was subsequently charged with simple assault. There were no serious injuries but victim Jay Campos was said to be showing signs of an attack, including a red mark on his face and broken eyeglasses. According to a local police officer, the altercation happened because of a disagreement about the music being played in the club.The 34-year-old rapper/rocker went in front of the night court commissioner and was released on a $3,000 bond. Simple assault is a misdemeanor and can carry up to one year in jail if convicted.
