So, a fat-themed Misfits tribute act?Yes. This Portland four-piece, which incorporates candy-filled piñatas and a giant fake ham sandwich into their show, may have adopted the skeleton makeup of Glenn Danzig’s legendary punk-metal band, but they’re far from skeletal in frame. Food-centric changes in lyrics drive the point home: “20 eyes,” for instance, becomes “20 pies.”
How fat are they?
Guitarist Bill Niese (alias: Foil Von Franksnbeans), 36, an “underemployed techie,” weighs 260 lbs. “I am not the fattest guy in the band,” he says.
Is the fat lifestyle compatible with the punk lifestyle?
Punks might often be skinny, but there’s no law against packing on the pounds. “Both lifestyles stress not giving a rat’s ass about what anybody else thinks of you,” Niese explains.
