A woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons is accusing the musician of slander after footage of her aired as part of the VH1 special When Kiss Ruled the World. In a lawsuit filed against Simmons and Viacom, Georgeann Walsh Ward, 53, claims that photos of her appeared 11 times during the TV special as Simmons described his sexual forays with 4,600 women. The lawsuit alleges that her inclusion during the broadcast portrayed her as a "sex-addicted nymphomaniac," "wild" and "unchaste."
Ward says she met Simmons at a concert in 1972 while Simmons was a struggling musician working as a sixth-grade teacher, according to news reports on the suit. The two engaged in a three-year relationship until the success of Kiss "propelled him out of the classroom and out of the plaintiff's life," court papers say.
