Butterfingers! U2 Lose CD Containing New Album

NME.com reports that U2 lost a CD containing songs from their new album during a photo shoot in Nice, France. The tentatively titled Vertigo will be their follow-up to All That You Can't Leave Behind. At this time, it has not yet been determined whether the album is merely missing or was intentionally taken from the shoot.

Band manager Paul McGuiness is nervous about the fate of the unreleased album. "The recording of this album has been going so well. The band is so excited about its release. It would be a shame if unfinished work fell into the wrong hands." In an effort to prevent a repeat of the 2003 Radiohead incident involving Hail to the Thief, when an unfinished copy of the record was stolen from the recording studio and leaked on the Internet, U2 has employed the help of the French police to search for the missing CD.
