Arresting!

Wes Scantlin, 29, the lead singer of nü-metal band Puddle of Mudd, was recently arrested in Los Angeles on domestic-violence charges for brawling with his fiancée, Michelle Rubin. The pair was nabbed arguing on the shoulder of California Highway 126 after a passing driver phoned the cops.

Rubin, 31, was hauled in on suspicion of inflicting injury. She and Scantlin were released on $20,000 bond each; the charges were ultimately dropped.

Their arrest mirrored almost exactly POM’s video for “Control,” which features Scantlin and an apparent love interest battling in a car — “Why aren’t you listening to me?” she yells. “Get out, loser!” — before she dumps him on the side of the road.

Ironically, the real-life couple were on their way to a Puddle of Mudd video shoot when the altercation occurred.
