Worst Christmas Songs Ever

10. “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer,” Elmo & Patsy
We giggled along with this seasonal novelty just like everybody else … until grandma did, in fact, get run over by a reindeer. (It could’ve been a yak; the coroner’s report was inconclusive.) Now it just makes us sad.

9. “Please Come Home for Christmas,” The Eagles
Those who say that Don Henley’s voice lacks soul or feeling should take a listen to … not this. Not anything from the Eagles's catalog or his solo albums, either. Maybe one of his rich-people-whining-about-the-environment PSAs?

8. “Mom and Daddy, Please Don’t Steal for Us This Christmas," Suzannah
This is either the most terrifying piece of moralistic treacle ever committed to vinyl or a beyond-subtle piece of satire. The sweet-little-girl vocals argue the former; the lyrics (“Each year the clothes I get/They never seem to fit/I wish you’d take them back where they belong”) argue the latter. In any event, lil' Suzannah ain’t no Ali Lohan.
