Blues Traveler
This bluesy traditional rock band formed in New York in 1988 with vocalist and harmonica player John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla, bassist Bobby Sheehan and drummer Brendan Hill. In 1995 their first hit single, “Run-Around,” drove their fourth album, Four, to sell more than 5 million copies. In 1999, 31-year-old Bobby Sheehan died of what was classified as an accidental drug overdose. Blues Traveler recovered from the loss and put out their sixth album, Bridge, in 2001.
