Madonna

Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone was born on August 16, 1958, in Rochester, Michigan, and moved to New York in 1977 to become a dancer. She joined her boyfriends band, the Breakfast Club, but decided to go solo and nabbed a deal in 1982. The Material Girl released 1984s
Like a Virgin, which launched her into international superstardom. By challenging social taboos and regularly changing her image, production and concepts, Madonna remained a vital pop star for more than two decades.
