Bjork
Born Björk Gumundsdóttir on November 21, 1965, in Reykjavik, Iceland, she was the lead singer of the Sugarcubes for six years, until they disbanded in 1992. When Björk went solo with
Debut (1993), she took a musical detour from the Sugarcubes guitar pop into the world of electronica. With her following releases, she explored different styles and developed an even more emotive, experimental sound.
