St. Louis quintet Story of the Year play heavy, emo-like rock with song titles like "Anthem of Our Dying Day." Their music, equal parts rage and solace, attracted Goldfinger's John Feldman, who produced their 2003 debut, Page Avenue. In 2004 they landed one of the headlining spots on the Vans Warped Tour.
