Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Charismatic singer Karen O and guitarist Nicolas Zinner formed the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in 2000 after meeting at New York University. After their original drummer quit, they recruited Brian Chase, who O had met at Ohio’s Oberlin College. Thanks to the Strokes’-led revival of garage rock, the arty pop-punk group found instant fame. They released their first full-length album, Fever to Tell, in 2002.
