Brothers Ronald, Rudolph, OKelly and Vernon Isley began singing together as children, with their mom on piano in Cincinnati in the 50s. Vernon died in a bicycle accident in 1957, and Ronald took over as lead singer. The Motown classic This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You) was their first big hit in 1967, followed by the funkier Its Your Thing in 1969. That year, younger brothers Ernie and Marvin, Chris Jasper and Everett Collins joined the band.Reviews
