Born Niomi McLean-Daley, Ms. Dynamite got her start as a DJ at a pirate radio station in North London. Her debut album, A Little Deeper, was released in 2002 and featured the singles "Dy-Na-Mi-Tee" and "It Takes More." Ms. Dynamites raga and garage-inspired R&B and pointed lyrics made her a breakout star in Europe, and she became the first black woman to win the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for best album.Reviews
