Gwen Stefani, her brother Eric and John Spence formed the ska-punk band No Doubt in 1987. They added Tony Kanal on bass, but later that same year Spence committed suicide. The group forged ahead with two new members, Tom Dumont on guitar and Adrian Young on drums. Eric left the band after recording their debut, and in 1994 No Doubt, now a quartet, released their breakout LP, Tragic Kingdom, fueled by three smash hits, Just a Girl, Spiderwebs and the pop ballad Dont Speak.Reviews
