Hardcore metal band Hatebreed formed in 1993 in New Haven, Connecticut, with vocalist Jamey Jasta, guitarists Sean Martin and Lou "Boulder" Richards, bassist Chris Beattie and drummer Rigg Ross. They released their debut album, Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, in 1997. Their popularity continued to grow with their follow-up, 2002's Perseverance. The single "I Will Be Heard" off the album was also featured on the soundtrack to the action movie XXX. In 2003 Jasta became the host of MTV2's revived Headbangers' Ball.Reviews
