Ozomatli

Los Angeles–based 10-piece band Ozomatli has been melding hip-hop and rock with Latin, Caribbean and African grooves since the mid-'90s. In 1998 they released their self-titled debut album, a danceable, politically charged fusion of musical styles. They followed up in 2001 with Embrace the Chaos, which received more critical and commercial attention, and in 2004 with Street Signs, which incorporated Middle Eastern inflections.
