The alt-metal group GodsmackSully Erna on vocals, Tony Rambola on guitar, Robbie Merrill on bass and Tommy Stewart on drumsreleased their debut album, All Wound Up, on an independent label in 1997. It caught the attention of Universal Records, who re-released the album as Godsmack in 1998. The album eventually went over three-times platinum. The band joined the Ozzfest tour in 1999 and 2000. That same year they released Awake, and the single "Vampires" earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. In 2003 they released Faceless, which went to No. 1.Reviews
