Puffy AmiYumi
The duo of Yumi Yoshimura and Ami Onuki began their domination of Japanese pop in 1995. In their homeland they hosted their own TV show and created their own line of clothing, shoes and toys. When this pop juggernaut, called just Puffy in Japan, set their sights on America in 2001 with their fourth album, Spike, Sean “Puffy” Combs threatened litigation, so they tagged on AmiYumi.
