Fats Domino
Rollicking singer and boogie-woogie pianist Fats Domino was born on February 26, 1928, in New Orleans. The hits began in 1955 with Aint That a Shame. He continued turning rowdy barrelhouse R&B into pop gold and totaled 35 Top 40 singles, including Blueberry Hill. Fats whose songs have been covered by John Lennon, Ted Nugent, Sheryl Crow and Cheap Trick earned his legendary status by showing how relaxed rock could be.
