Sparta
Texas rock band Sparta came together in the aftermath of the breakup of indie rock band At the Drive-In in 2001. Former Drive-In members Jim Ward (vocals, guitar), Paul Hinojos (guitar) and Tony Hajjar (drums) recruited Matt Miller (bass) and released their debut full-length album, Wiretap Scars, in 2002. Their sound crosses the experimental do-it-yourself ethos of indie rock with the purging emotional releases of emo.
