Led by Jon Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora, the New Jersey quintet defined pop metal in the latter half of the '80s with chart-topping singles like "Livin' on a Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad Name," off their multiplatinum album Slippery When Wet. While other '80s hair-metal acts waned in popularity, Bon Jovi's success continued into the '90s, earning them numerous hits, and their 2000 release, Crush, went double platinum with the help of the single "It's My Life." In 2004, to commemorate their 20th anniversary, Bon Jovi released a four-CD box set of rarities titled 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong.Reviews
