Country singer Tim McGraw was born on May 1, 1967, in Delhi, Louisiana to baseball player Tug McGraw. While in college on an athletic scholarship, he bought his first guitar and soon moved to Nashville. His second album, 1994’s Not a Moment Too Soon, made McGraw a star. It became a multiplatinum hit, sparked by the controversy surrounding negative stereotyping of Native Americans in the hit single “Indian Outlaw.” McGraw married country singer Faith Hill in October 1996.
