Born on August 4, 1955, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Academy Award-winner Billy Bob Thornton is lauded for his work as an actor, writer and film director. Long before he began his film career, however, he played in different bands. In 2001 he released his album, Private Radio, to mostly positive reviews.
