Bee Gees
The Gibb brothers — Barry and fraternal twins Robin and Maurice — from Brisbane, Australia, formed the Bee Gees in 1958. (The youngest Gibb, Andy, had his own successful solo career in the late ’70s but died at the age of 30.) They scored their first No. 1 hit in 1970, with “Lonely Days.” The Bee Gees were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and are remembered for their disco and soft-rock hits and the 1977 film soundtrack Saturday Night Fever.
