Beanie Sigel
Dwight Grant (a.k.a. Beanie Sigel) was born in Philadelphia. Jay-Z signed him to Roc-A-Fella Records after he heard the underground rapper on a track by the Roots. Beans appeared on Jay-Z’s Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life before releasing his solo debut, The Truth, in 2000.
