Will Smith

Philadelphia native Will Smith has left his mark not only on the music industry but on television and film, as well. After meeting Jeff Townes at a house party in the mid-’80s, the pair became known as DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. Their comical angle on rap and catchy beats earned them hip-hop’s first ever Grammy for the 1988 hit single "Parents Just Don’t Understand." In the 1990s, Smith became known for his role in the TV sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and later went on star in a number of blockbuster films, including Independence Day, Men in Black, and Men in Black II, Enemy of the State, and Ali (for which he received an Oscar nomination.)
