Alkaline Trio
Alkaline Trio formed in Chicago in 1997, with Matt Skiba on vocals and guitar, Glenn Porter on drums and Rob Doran on bass. After releasing their debut EP,
For Your Lungs (1997), Dan Andriano replaced Doran. The group issued several anger-fueled pop-punk albums in the years that followed. In 2000 Porter left and was replaced by Mike Felumlee, who was replaced by Derek Grant for 2003's
Good Mourning. That album was Alkaline Trio's most commercially successful, making the
Billboard Top 20.
