ABC
In the early ’80s, Martin Fry led ABC to new wave popularity. This synth-pop outfit scored with dance hits influenced by David Bowie and Brian Ferry. ABC were formed in 1980 in Yorkshire, England, and relocated to New York City in the mid-’80s. The band’s original lineup included Fry, Mark White, Stephen Singleton, David Robinson and Mark Lickley.
