Steve Urkel Sighting at the Ryan Leslie Concert

Wait, what? Oh, apparently that's Ryan Leslie at the Ryan Leslie concert. The R&B crooner and self-styled Stefan Urquelle (Urkel's slick alter-ego for those either too young or too old for Family Matters references) pulled together a full band (horn section and string section to boot) for his two nights at S.O.Bs in New York. Wednesday's set opened and closed with the brilliantly infectious auto-tune and gibberish-laden "Gibberish" and included minor hits "My Addiction" and "Diamond Girl." Leslie even got his Roger Troutman T-Pain on for a call out of New York's five boroughs.

Friend and mentor Usher was in attendance (his VIP area smelled like my high school art instructor's office...) and he joined Leslie on stage to remind the audience that Leslie, a Harvard grad (at age 19) 'made the ultimate sacrifice to keep it rocking for y'all instead of being the new Barack Obama.' Um, dude? GO BE THE NEW BARACK OBAMA (whatever that means), YOUR MUSIC ISN'T THAT SPECIAL!!!!!! Of course I would never say that to the super-enthusiastic lady standing next to me who showed her support for Leslie by vomiting on the bar.

Anyway, thanks for rocking for us, Urkel. And a special WTF to the guy who stole the show with a portrait of Obama shaved into his head.
