The Crawl: Scott Stapp Kills on Regis and Kelly
+ Creed, in case you were wondering, is back. After disbanding in 2004, vocalist Scott Stapp went solo, while other members formed Alter Bridge. Though everyone involved claimed Creed was "in the past," a reunion happened this year, resulting in the Full Circle album, out this week.
Sadly, the reunion also resulted in this staggeringly off-key vocal performance on Regis & Kelly. Even if you hate Creed, you've got to feel a bit sorry for them after this. No? Okay. [YouTube]
+ Billy Corgan has never been one to keep his thoughts to himself, but this time he may be tempting fate.
In a post on his health blog Everything From Here To There, William Patrick Corgan—that's Billy—acknowledges that the H1N1 swine flu virus is real, but he doesn't think it came about naturally. Take it away, Billy:
"I would suggest however that it is possible the virus is not a naturally occurring virus. I have read reports from people who say (as doctors) that there is evidence to suggest this virus was created by man; to call it Swine Flu is then a misnomer, as it really is Swine Flu plus some other stuff stitched together. These doctors said such genetic mutation was impossible in nature."
Later, the Smashing Pumpkin declares that he will not be taking any government-provided vaccine:
"I do not trust those who make the vaccines, or the apperatus behind it all to push it on us thru fear. This is not judgment; it is a personal decision based on research, intuition, conversations with my doctor and my ‘family’."
Why is the word 'family' in single quotes? All we can surmise is that it was a personal decision Billy made based on intuition. [Everything From Here To There]
+ Wow: Michael Jackson's estate has earned over $90 million since the singer's death in June. Since his death, over nine million album and 5.5 downloads have been sold. The earnings number also includes money raised from the rights to This Is It rehearsal footage, which was used for the This Is It film released this week. [Gigwise]
+ Britt Daniel tells the Portland Mercury that a new Spoon album is "done" and ready to go. No title or release date yet, however. [PortlandMercury]
+ Got a birthday coming up? Why not celebrate with a Lil Wayne birthday cake like Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger's daughter Ireland recently did. Scary cake, no? [Gawker]
