Eminem, Meet Bruno's Balls

What would the MTV Movie Awards be without a little controversy?

Last night's events were proceeding smoothly, especially for Eminem, who had earlier performed music from his new Relapse, when Bruno, Sacha Baron Cohen's gay, Austrian, fashionista character, descended from the ceiling in a revealing angel costume. As Bruno swung lower and lower, he called out for help, though in a matter consistent with his character; he was clearly not in any trouble. Still, the combination of heavily accented calls to be lowered, combined with the proximity of the audience, made for a hilariously tense scene. As Bruno reached the level of the audience, it became clear what, or rather, who, his landing pad would be: Eminem.

Em was seemingly astonished. "Are you serious? Are you f*cking serious? Yo, get this mother f*cker off me" was Em's verbal reaction. His bodyguards reacted more physically, batting around Cohen as he was slowly whisked out of reach. The audio is muted for several seconds as profanities are doubtlessly uttered. Eminem and entourage stalk out purposefully, as Zac Efron was announced, by Bruno, as the winner for Best Male Performance.

Was Eminem in on it? That's one rumor making the rounds—the visual evidence is there. Approximately ten seconds before Bruno lands, the video cuts to Eminem, who almost seems to be acting; his look of distress is over the top. And once Bruno's balls are in Em grill, it takes Em over five seconds to command his bodyguards into action. Either Eminem and his entourage were in on it, or those bodyguards suck. And they certainly didn't seem to mind the cameras as they marched out.
