Before Chairlift got the Steve Jobs co-sign for their bouncy electro-pop jam "Bruises" we were passing around their MySpace page to all our friends because it featured this awesome song "Evident Utensil." The lyrics ("the most evident utensil / is none other than a pencil") are a bit silly, but, hey, we're into a bit silly, so when MGMT's director of choice (and Wesleyan college
buddy), Ray Tintori, dropped this codec-manipulating, datamosh-compressing video on us we freaked. No, we don't know what most of those words mean but the images remind us of that time we somewhat successfully downloaded The Dark Knight off Bit Torrent. (Sorry, MPAA).
