When
I saw that Aimee Mann had done a spoof of a Christmas Carol (continuing her newish tradition of doing funny Christmas videos to go along with her Christmas tour), I of course was excited but didn't realize just how great this year's would be. Unsurprisingly, her famous friends join her: Michael
Penn, John Krasinski, Michael Cera, John C. Reilly, Grant Lee
Phillips, and Paul F. Tompkins all appear, and the entire thing was
directed by Tim Heidecker of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
It's in four parts, but totally worth the time!! It's got all the
hallmarks of great Aimee Mann fare: sardonic self-effacement, calling
sh*t out for what it is, but still maintaining that spirit of fun - and
Christmas. Part 2: Jon Krasinski from The Office shows up at an Aimee Mann show as the Ghost of Christmas Present:
Part 3: Sh*t gets totally meta when Michael Cera shows up and won't play Tiny Tim.
Part 4: John C. Reilly!!!
