We've been singing these Beatlesque indie guys' praises since being introduced to them backstage at the SXSW Playboy Party earlier this year:

Between tours with The Kooks, We Are Scientists and others, the band holed up in singer Chris Chu's bedroom with a laptop and a mic to record an eclectic collection of their own favorites, entitled The Bedroom Covers. Chris writes on the band's blog, "We didn't deliberate over which songs to pick. We didn't try to stick to a certain time period or genre. We just recorded songs we were going to be singing around the house anyway (...and we needed the practice)."

Whether or not their versions of Roy Orbison, Talking Heads and the Smiths are better than the originals (and they promise that they are not), you still can't beat the price of no money.
