Written by Ne-Yo, "Take a Bow" is a perfectly constructed song. It's sassy but not too sassy. Sarcastic but not too sarcastic. Bitter but not too bitter. The sentiment is sound. And so is the melody, which Rihanna sang well enough to earn her yet another smash last month. The girl-done-wrong theme is durable, too, as Taylor Swift shows in this live acoustic cover. The country starlet adds some empathy to the track, as if she's not quite sure about ditching the two-timing dude at the center of the song. She's warmer than Rihanna, whose severe haircut in the "Take a Bow" video reinforces her no-nonsense attitude. Can you say "shocking" Grammy duet?
