Though it seems like the dude at the wrong end of this smirking kiss-off definitely deserves the cold shoulder, you've got to feel for him a little — Rihanna is currently in that stage in her career where she keeps looking better and better in each video. In a way, her glamorous appeal is even more impressive here than in the eyeball peeling "Umbrella" clip because she doesn't even need S&M garb or a coat of metallic silver paint to transmit her sexiness. It's just Rihanna in that short cut and a tank top, sassing into the camera against a black background. It's not as good as "Irreplaceable" (clearly a source of inspiration), but it gets remarkably close. A couple years ago, the whole Beyoncé vs. Rihanna battle was a tabloid-y hype-fest that was more of an insult to Beyoncé than anything else. Now, the new-school diva rivalry is getting interesting.
