The stunning geishas at the center of this elegant new Wu-Tang video do a great job of translating the ache of this Beatles-interpolating tune — and the currently strained Wu-Tang relationships. It's hard not to notice how all the MCs who appear on "Weeps" are nowhere to be found in this clip. In fact, while RZA and GZA appear as undercover cops who bust a Japanese drug ring, the other six Wu-Tang members — who publicly denounced the group's recent album, 8 Diagrams — are conspicuously MIA. The slight plot is handled well but the colorful geishas are the real draw as they move hypnotically under a constant downpour of fake snow. The dancers offer a weirdly apropos visual for the woozy song, which manages to be exotic and classy at the same time. As with most of the Wu's best stuff, this clip is far from obvious — and all the better for it.
