Who: AdeyhawkeWhat: Adeyhawke Theme
Why: What we know about obscure Irish producer Adeyhawke’s blissful blend of Italo disco and ’80s synth pop is that the dude crafts some pretty catchy tunes. Bloggers have been quick to reference everything from Giorgio Moroder and Valerie to Boards of Canada and the Knight Rider theme when singing his praises. We’ll jump on the retro-fetishizing bandwagon by saying Adeyhawke’s music should be consumed in a shag-carpeted basement lit by the iridescent glow of a vintage arcade game and a TV playing reruns of Airwolf. But we’ll let you be the judge. Chances are, once you’ve tuned into the lad’s cyclic synths and melancholy melodies, you’ll be regularly checking his MySpace for updates.
