The Mercury Lounge was happy to home the debut performance of singer/songwriter Lissie in New York, a day shy of her debut EP release on Fat Possum, 'Why You Runnin''. She may be new, but the warmly responding audience throughout the night seemed already well-versed in her catalogue, singing along, or trying to follow.

A folky men line-up that included Willy Mason, A.A. Bondy, Tim Easton and Dave Godowsky played The Mercury Lounge on Wednesday and while everyone indeed offered an excellent set, it was Bondy that stole the focus of every one of the night's participants.
