18. Janis Joplin
Case History: The bisexual blues singer estimated that during one five-day tour she made love 65 times. Joplin liked to have sex immediately after a show — according to one boyfriend, "the trick was to get the van close enough [to the stage] so we could jump in the minute she came off." Famous lovers included Kris Kristofferson, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Joe Namath.
She Said It: "[After sex,] Namath blew a game. I destroyed him."
The Experts Say: "I'm shocked to learn this about Janis," Cynthia says. "I didn't know she was bi. I thought she was totally gay. But back then, you had an obligation to try anything new and different. To dip your dick into something new — with the exception of animals. That never quite made the trendy pages."
